I was fortunate to win a solo exhibition from the Tuggeranong Arts Centre (TAC) in Canberra in 2019. My CIT visual art diploma body of work attracted some attention for being unique, executed with appeal and competence. Amazing that TAC support students with such an important prize.

I set up my workspace at home and took three months off work to paint. The body of works was set at 17 in the agreement so now it is just paint, create and frame, day and night. I don’t recall stopping to eat or sleep for 4 months but I guess I must have.

Deliver the goods

On the bump in date, my partner helped to space and hung the paintings.

The opening was shared with another group of artists in the gallery space next to mine. There were speeches from friends and important people, food, drink and music.

Shock and pleasant surprise, some works started to sell from day one.
